Why Myanmar?
Myanmar has experienced some of the toughest times in its history. Since the military seized control of the country from the democratically-elected leaders in recent years; there have been increasing oppositions against Christians.
According to Open Doors report, Myanmar moved up six spots, from 18th to 12th, on Open Doors’ World Watch List, which ranks the countries where Christians face the most extreme persecution. Christians remain under intense threat in this nation with many families displaced. In recent times, there were reports of attacks in which vehicles were stopped and 35 people inside, some of them women and children were killed and their bodies burnt.
The prolonged lockdown has further threatened the economy of this nation with many living in really poor conditions
A RAY OF HOPE
Translators’ Network International bears the mandate to not only take the gospel to every tribe and tongue, but also; the mandate to propagate Godly peace upon the nations. Through our prayers; we continue to frustrate the wicked works of the enemy in the nation of Myanmar and beyond. In our love expressions, we have carried out various community projects in several displaced villages.
We provided several communities with relief and most importantly; the message of faith, hope and love through the free distribution of Christian materials in the language of their hearts – Rakhine! We have many accounts of restored hope and joy in families and communities with many expressing their gratitude. Today, many communities can gather for fellowship in various new churches we built for their community.
